Chaiiwala on Oxford Street, Manchester offers a lively spot for South Asian street food, blending bold flavors with a casual vibe. The menu is packed with favorites like samosa chaat, Bombay sandwiches, and their signature karak chai, which delivers authentic warmth. The most attractive thing is the Karak Chai, must to have for milk tea lovers. Prices are mid-range, making it accessible for students and city-goers. The atmosphere is vibrant, though seating can feel a little tight during peak hours. Service is generally friendly, with staff attentive and welcoming. Just one disadvantage is that there are no toilets here. The overall experience is enjoyable, especially for those craving a quick, flavorful bite with a touch of authentic desi flair.
I've given an overall 4 out of the 5 stars, for this particular venue, only because with it being a small venue, it would soon fill up in that small room also, with queuing customers and seated customers as well, that's all. They don't have any toilets for their customers, whilst selling food and drinks there and may not be for people who like small places, that could become quite busy and maybe loud, at times also. Being a small venue, I could hear other people's conversations, around me and they could probably here mine too. The food was lovely, but again, with the vegan donor type wrap I enjoyed, would have been nice to have had some salad included with it too. Maybe they do offer salads then, and maybe I would have had to have ordered that separately perhaps. I had to wait a good 5 mins for my meal, though what I had was nice and saw that they had enough other vegan options in there, for me too.
Came here before my lecture for a quick bite to eat. Food came fast and tasted very good would recommend since it is close to the uni as well. Everything is decently priced and the service was nice.
